In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Raise The Young Foundation is proud to announce the second edition of the Gambian Women Champions Award 2026 a distinguished accolade recognizing the exceptional contributions of women who are advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment across The Gambia.
The Gambian Women Champions Award forms part of the Foundation’s annual International Women’s Day celebrations and reflects this year’s global call to accelerate progress toward equality, inclusion, and opportunity for all women and girls.
This prestigious recognition honors resilient, dedicated, and inspiring women who are breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and paving the way for a more just and equitable society. From grassroots community leadership to national advocacy, these champions continue to uplift communities and create meaningful change across the nation.
